A few years ago, a heavy snow storm blanketed our area, including this full and beautifully shaped tree. The snow was so heavy it broke a large limb on the front, and what remained was an irregular heart shape on the trunk. This led to the tree being called the ‘Heart Tree.’ The name stuck and since then this tree has become a favorite focal point for wedding ceremonies.
